Back by popular demand! On January 5, 2008, Jean Bass and Amy Armstrong will once again host the WWSDA Novice Fun Day. After a huge turnout the first year, we tweaked it a bit last year. Well, after a huge turnout last year, we have decided to tweak some more.
Last year almost everyone took two turns and the sheep were worn out. So this year each dog will get one turn in the round pen with an experienced handler (yet to be asked). More information will be in the December newsletter.
As with the previous Novice Fun Days, there is no excuse to not come and give your dog a try. Everyone is welcome! You and your dog need no experience whatsoever. We will be using the round pen only, so there should be no worries.
We are asking for a small donation of $5 to the WWSDA for each dog that comes to the fun day. We will have hot drinks in the barn and are asking that everyone bring a small dish to pass. (We always have food left over!). We will take a break over the lunch hour to warm up and get acquainted. We'll start up at 9 am and try to quit by 4 pm (or earlier if everyone is freezing). We will have a sign-up sheet to organize who is in the training pen when. If there is a blizzard on January 5, please call to make sure we are still planning to have the fun day (608-845-6996).
